Sub-X® Xylene Substitute Clearing Agent

This economical xylene substitute is an essentially odorless, nongreasy aliphatic hydrocarbon which can be used in place of xylene for tissue processing, deparaffinization, clearing and cleanup. Sub-X is a gentle clearant which will not over-harden tissue specimens. This selective solvent is safe to use with most plastics and tubing in open and closed tissue processors. A compatible mountant such as Sub-X Mounting Medium must be used for coverslipping.
