Biopsy Pads

Biopsy Pads are made from open-celled foam, which allows fluids to transfer safely and thoroughly around tissue while holding the specimen secure. To prevent floating and avoid artifacts, biopsy pads should bepresaturated in fixative. The Surgipath biopsy pad is thinner than other brands. This helps eliminate excess pressure from being applied to unfixed specimens and reduces the probability tissue does not stick toour pads, and fibers do not come apart during embedding. Available in white or blue foam, circular or rectangular. The thinner pads also allow for less fluid carry-over during processing.
